How reminders work

Who gets reminders, when they repeat, and the actions on the notification.

peaflow reminders are notifications, so they arrive even when the app is closed.

When they go off

At each dose time, the phone that gets reminders shows one notification for everything due at that time, for example “8:00 AM · Metoprolol, Lisinopril”. If nobody answers, it reminds again 15 minutes and 30 minutes later. As soon as the dose is marked anywhere, the rest are cancelled.

Dose reminders are Time Sensitive, so they can break through a Focus mode when you allow it. A missed medication matters, and the reminder is due at a specific time.

Answer from the notification

Press and hold the reminder:

  • Took it marks every dose in it as taken.
  • Remind me in 15 min snoozes it.

Who gets them

The owner chooses in Settings → Reminders:

  • Me: the owner’s phone.
  • Linda’s phone: the parent’s own phone, once it has joined. Until then, reminders come to you.
  • Both

Family members can also get a day’s reminders when they cover for you. See Cover a day for someone else.

Keep them coming

peaflow schedules the next reminders on the phone itself, so they work offline. It tops them up whenever the app opens and in the background. If reminders stop, see Reminders aren’t arriving.
